MISSION STATEMENT
The Center for Economic Analysis provides timely, high quality research, data, and analysis for university stakeholders, industries, and governments. The CEA forms strong partnerships with MSU faculty and strives to be the primary source of economic analysis for the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station, and Michigan State University Extension, as well as non-university stakeholders such as state and local governmental institutions, industry, and trade groups.
The CEA contributes to the Land-Grant University heritage by supporting MSU Extension through procurement and analysis of data and ideas. The fundamental principle behind outreach activities is to contribute to the overall awareness of how the agricultural, natural resource and related sectors and other community economic development activities c ontribute to the overall state economy.
